Thank you very much for your support and your prayers. We could tell that we
were being prayed for.
Before I arrived, I didn’t know what to expect. I even tried not to expect what it
would be like. Despite my efforts, I was surprised, when we were flying toward the city
that I could not see the devastation from the air. Everything looked like a normal
working city. Even when we got to the ground, things appeared only slightly damaged.
The reason for that is that the actual city of New Orleans is above sea level.
Our first viewing of the real destruction came the next day when we went to the ninth
ward, the place that was hit the hardest. Only a few of the houses remained standing.
For some, it seemed as if a giant had decided to have a stomping party with the houses as
the target. I saw a house that was totally smashed except for the laundry room. I saw a
laundry basket in there and thought “Wow, this was someone’s home. They led a normal
life until this happened to them.

I’m so glad the trip went well, and that it was a blessing to the people you met and for yourselves. It is encouraging!

Thank you for the report! Isn’t it great how often times God used one experience to impact so many people in differing ways?
Amazing account; refreshing reminders of our need fo nothing but Jesus himself. I’m glad God used this trip for your blessing and the blessing of others.
so did that big spider scare you?
Can you post a picture of the spider?

No, it didn’t scare me in the least. I may post a picture of it if my dad shows mr how.
