Occupational Opportunity

by Nathan Brauer on September 29, 2006

Hello Family!

Some of you may have been expecting my obituary, but I am not dead yet. I apologize that it has been so long since I have last updated you. Some things to advise you of:

1) I have a roommate. This is both an answer to prayer and a request for prayer. We get along okay, but there are some issues that need to be worked through (putting the milk away so that I do not have to dump half a gallon down the drain as well as some other things). His name is John David Bell and he hails from Lancaster, PA.

2) Rock Creek Felllowship is undergoing officer elections and, Lord willing, we will have a number of new deacons to assist Jon Vannoy and myself in the churche’s mercy ministry. I am really excited about this.

3) I will interview for a management position with UnumProvident on Monday 10/02/2006. I am not yet nervous, but that will probably change as Monday approaches. The appointed time is 10AM. The benefits to this is that it will be over prior to lunch, the bad thing about the time is that I will have all day to second guess myself. I would covet your prayers for calmness of nerves and clarity of thought. I would also ask that you pray that God would provide wisdom to me as I have a feeling that I will be asked quesetions on how to deal with issues in a broad scope. I have spent that last 6 years dealing with individual cases and will need to try to think in another scope in order to nail this interview.

Regardless of the outcome, I am excited about the opportunity. Thanks for your prayers and any words of encouragement/advise that you may have.

How long have you had your roommate? You did not mention it this past weekend. I’m glad they are giving you an interview. I will pray about both things.

Thank you all for your prayers. I was not nervous during the interview and do not feel that there were any awkward pauses. There was one question that when I finished answering it, I did not remember exactly what the question had been. Oh well. God is in control.
