Andrea and I have decided to paint our room this week! We are buying the white for the slants today, and tomorrow we are going to put on the color! We decided on a color called “Trevi Fountain” which is a kind of light bluish green, rather minty. Our goal is to have a seaside theme in our room. I’ll try and add more pictures as we progress, but here is a picture of our mess so far:

Because of the mess, Andrea and I have been sleeping on the porch:

The cats (especially the calico, Dosset) have really wanted to come in, but they can’t because of the smell of paint and the mess we’ve created:

While Andrea was at work on Monday, I started painting around the edges, but I realized as I was painting that it was not the color I was expecting. So, when Andrea and I got home we re-evaluated what we wanted. We had other paint colors in the workshop, so we decided to mix the paints. After much experimenting, we finally came up with this color:

At this point we are two thirds done with the edges. We are calling this new color “Sea-side Mint.”
Finale!

The only thing left to do is put pictures on the wall!

Looks like something is happening
The color sounds nice. I can’t wait to see it.
That sound fun! I like the sound of the color! 🙂
The room looks bigger! Were the slants a color other than white before?
Seaside theme in the mountains. Hmmm… best of both worlds.
No, the slants were always white, but they were filled with stains and nicks. Now they look much better. Hopefully we will put the color on this evening!
Uncle David, I hadn’t thought of that! How funny.
I added some photos.
did you paint the minty color?
I put on more pics!
oooh! aaaah!
It looks very seasidey. I think I just made up a word. Can’t wait to see it finished!
We are still moving a some stuff around, but once it is organized (soon), I will post the finale picture!
I can’t wait to see it!
Our room is done, but still in disarray. We are going through college notes and there are still no pictures on the wall. Once we have finished that I will post a finale picture 🙂
