My family and I have recently had a dilemma: do I primarily lead out with P or J (in terms of personality)? I know I am not a K, because usually I am not indecisive because of a lack of information, but rather because of a lack of a sense of the feeling of the people I am around. What do you all think?

You are definitely more J like than I am. But I am keeping my options open about what I think.
You say that you make your decisions based on how you think other people feel. Maybe there are several people in your life that are J, and that you want to please, so you act more J.
That is very plausible, Seth. I have thought of that, too. Are P’s very adaptable?
It could be that you just don’t have a strong preference in that dimension. Therefore you can J and you can P. 🙂
I think you are probably a mild P. I think you wish to “experience” your world more than you wish to “control” your world.
