Grades

The past two weeks or so has been very grueling work at graduate school. Sleep was a luxury. I finished most of my courses well, however. I got an ‘A’ in statistical mechanics, and ‘A-’ in quantum mechanics, and ‘A’ in a research methods course, and a ‘B-’ in classical electrodynamics. Whew! I am so glad to be done. I have been with family since Thursday night, which has been quite relaxing and refreshing. Sometimes I feel lonely in St. Louis. It takes a while to make good friends. And in case you were wondering, no, I haven’t found a wife yet; I suspect it will be quite sometime before that happens 🙂
God has been very faithful and kind to me in my transition to St. Louis. The family that I have been staying with (Andrew and Pamela Shaw) has been very helpful in getting acclimated to my new situation. God has also given me the energy to endure the demanding schedule of graduate school. Hopefully I know the rhythm of graduate school well enough now that I won’t have to skimp out on sleep. I am so grateful for all of your prayers.

You’re doing a good job in grad school, Seth. However, you must get sleep. “…won’t have to skimp out on sleep…” is not an option 😀

Seth, its encouraging to hear a young man with such a good mind and chock full of abilities giving glory back to God and giving your calling your all. Kristen and I will definately be praying about that wife thing for you.:) Enjoy your break!

Seth, great report on your studies. Sounds like you will have a jump on pacing yourself in the next semester. Say hello to the Shaw’s for us.
