I have been trying to get an opportunity to teach in Vanderbilt’s Master’s program in HRD/OD for some time now. After several failed attempts, I started talking to Belmont University about an adjunct opportunity this Fall. Monday, I got an opportunity to teach an Organizational Communication Class at Belmont University here in Nashville. It’s a Baptist University. I was somewhat hesitant because it is (a) an undergraduate class (mostly sophomores and juniors and not my thing) and (b) not a class I am particularly interested in. But, I said yes because I thought the experience would be helpful for later goals. I start teaching on January 12th. So, on top of finishing chaptgers 2 and 3 over Christmas, I have to get ready for this. I don’t know how I’ll fit it in with 50+ hours per week at Lifeway, the dissertation, family church, etc. Please pray about that.

Thanks for the news! It does sound like a very good and very challenging (in terms of time especially) opportunity to me. We’ll pray with you about it.

Oh, yes, we shall be praying! I think it is so neat how you and my dad have had similar experiences! Same doctoral program, teaching…I just think it is neat!

I am praying for you, Uncle David. I feel stressed with all the things I have to do, but it is not nearly as much as what you have to do!
This opportunity certainly follows with your gifts. We’ll pray that you will be equiped to manage all tasks.
