Hi everyone! We arrived in Charlotte Sunday afternoon. We are in a 3 bedroom apartment, which Bank of America has furnished. Even so, we rented a 10 foot U-haul and filled it to the brim.
James and Emily had an open house at school (Covenant Day School) on Monday to get their schedules, their locker assignments, and see where their classes would be and meet their teachers. Tuesday they had their first day and they seemed to enjoy it. On Wednesday I dropped them off at school with sleeping bags and suitcases as they were headed to the mountains for a 3-day retreat with the rest of the high school students. I felt sad to send them off to such a new situation. Please pray for them. They return tomorrow (Friday) at 3 p.m.
David had (and is still having) his first big event at work – a 3 day meeting with all of his client group, where he has been in charge of much of the time. He too was thrown into a new situation very quickly, but it has turned out well.
Linnea and I have the best of it. We are just relaxing at the apartment – putting things away, playing games, walking Rocky, etc.
We are looking into renting a house on the same street where we are building. Please pray for us in this endeavor. If it works out, we will probably move again in about 2 or 3 weeks. This time we would have all of our things moved to the house, which means that Linnea and I would spend maybe a week back in Nashville while the movers pack, etc.
Gary, I have a specific question regarding email. The corporate relocation company set us up here at the apartment with cable internet at our request. So we have internet access, but because the account is in the name of the relocation company, we are not able to set up email accounts. I already stopped our service with comcast back in Nashville, though they will forwar our mail for 3 months. So we can get email, but cannot send it. Is their a way for us to be set up with the waldecker.net accounts? If so, please tell me what to do in order to get things working. Otherwise, what other suggestions do you have?

I have set up the Churchills with email accounts at paradigms.net as follows:
David: dkchurchill@paradigms.net [note: this has now been changed to david.churchill@paradigms.net]
Janice: jancie.churchill@paradigms.net
James: james.churchill@paradigms.net
Emily: emily.churchill@paradigms.net
Linnea: linnea.churchill@paradigms.net
For David, I have also set up a forward: david.churchill@paradigms.net forwards to dkchurchill@paradigms.net [note: this is no longer true]
The sending issue is also resolved, so they should be able to send you mail.
It all sounds very exciting…scary…fun…what an adventure!

Wow, it sounds like you are plunging into things…just like you said, Aunt Janie, an adventure! I hope we will be able to visit you all in Charlotte as often as when you all lived in Nashville.

It looks like the house thing will work. We plan to move in Friday, September 8. I’ll send you our address later, but I know its on Turkey Oak Drive.

David decided to go with david.churchill@paradigms.net NOT dkchurchill@paradigms.net
