Garden Report and Questions

by Audrey on June 1, 2011

Here are some more pictures of our garden:

Tomatoes! My favorite veggie in this garden…yum!

The first tomato!

Summer Squash

Our zucchini plant is probably doing the best of all the plants right now.

Our cats haven't learned to stay out of the beds––they roll around on top of seedlings sometimes 🙁

Our pea plants haven’t been doing well. Not sure if they have a disease, or need some nutrient I could give them to nourish them. I’m afraid it might be infecting the beans and seedling lettuce, too. Any advise?

Pea Plant (standing at about 4-5 inches tall)

Bush Bean Leaf––possibley infected with white fungi?

Lettuce starting to come up; it looks like it needs something, but not sure what…

Side-view of lettuce, standing at about 1/2 inch or less.

Hmm. The only “white” stuff I know is spider mites. Evidently lady bugs take care of them.

You will need to talk to someone who has more knowledge. Maybe you could sent the pictures to the person that you took your gardening course from. Grandpa Tom
