On this date in history (+1) my boyhood hero was born. Cal Ripken Jr. For those of you who may not know, he was a baseball player for the Baltimore Orioles and holds the longest game streak in major league history. I think he did not miss a game in 12 years or something…
Anyway I know this because in 1991, we were in the car on the way to see my mom and the new addition when on the radio, they announced it was CR Jr’s b-day. So, since Katie was born, I can now remember his date of birth. Which is kind of weird since I am writing this post today, because tomorrow, I will have forgotten.
