Son-shine

by sejwa on July 23, 2010

I composed a new song, which for now I am calling ‘Son-shine’. I’ve attached a crude recording and the words to the song below.
[audio:http://family.waldecker.net/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/Son_Shine.mp3|titles=Son-shine|artists=Seth]

Verse 1:

I’m strolling down the street and I’m feeling fine,

Even though it’s raining I’ve got sunshine.

It isn’t from a kiss or ’cause I’m number one,

neither is it from anything I’ve done.

Bridge 1:

But I’ve got Jesus in my heart,

He’s the reason that I’m easin’ through my difficulties

I’m walkin’ in His Holy Spirit,

Chorus:

And I’ve got sunshine in my heart,

The storm may rage but I don’t need to fear,

’cause He put sunshine in my heart,

The Son of God is shining in my heart!

Verse 2:

Now let me explain just a little more,

It’s not that I’m strong or have a perfect score;

But I’ve got a Father who proved His love,

By sending His Son from up above.

Bridge 2:

And now I’m learning to obey

Through His leadin’ in the readin’ of His word inspired,

And even though I may need some time,

( Chorus, except last line has ‘living’ instead of  ‘shining’ )

( Repeat Bridge 1 )

( Chorus )

I’ve got sunshine… 5x

I really like it Seth. It’s catchy, flows smoothly, and I like the words.

I hope you teach it to the kids up in Minnesota! They’ll love it!
