Seth is on his way to Japan

by phyllis on May 1, 2010

Seth left this morning at 9 from St Louis to go to Japan for a month. He will be giving a presentation as well as working with a former student of his advisor. He already has several people he will be visiting– former fellow college classmates, family of friends (Margaret Stewart whose family members have been missionaries there for many years), MTW missionaries and the parents of a current classmate, Hiromichi. Hiromichi is one of the students that Seth has had a Bible Study with off and on since he started at Wash U. He is not a Christian so I am sure he would appreciate prayer in meeting his parents who want to have him stay with them when he visits Tokyo. He said he didn’t sleep much the last 2 nights and now he has this long flight today. He said maybe that will help him sleep on the flight today. He flies to Dallas and then Dallas to Japan (12 hours). We were glad that we were able to meet him halfway last week. I can’t remember the name of the city where he will be but I think it is west of Tokyo. I know he will appreciate your prayers.

We will be praying for his trip and for the time spent in Japan. May he find time to do all that he has planned. Dad & Grandpa Tom

Looking forward to hearing about your adventures and non-adventures (if such things exist). I’ll be praying for you!

Hello from Japan! I made it to Wako-shi safely, and I slept well last night. I was able to sleep some on the plane. Thank you for your prayers.
