Thanksgiving on Lookout Mountain

by Gary on November 24, 2005

The weather was great today. We ate around 1:00. The food was wonderful. There were 17 of us. Wish everyone else could have been here.

Janice brought her famous sweet potato casserole, along with some “just” pies, pumpkin pies, and butterhorn rolls. Sharon brought butterhorn rolls and apple pie. Audrey made corn bread dressing, broccoli casserole, and butternut squash mash potato style. Phyllis made the cranberry conserve and prepared the turkey. She also made the gravy. Gary cooked the turkey and Janice helped decide when it was done.

Thanksgiving

This year we cut up the turkey and cooked it on the grill. Everyone seemed to like the way it turned out.

Afterwards we went to Nathan’s house to play frisbee and then eat our desert. The we did some last minute planning for our house-warming for Nathan’s house (tomorrow).

Thanksgiving

In the evening we had a bonfire.
