We just finished our Thanksgiving meal together. We were able to piece together most of the tradtional dishes, and had a wonderful feast. Melissa even managed to make butterhorn rolls. And by making the butter half butter and half crisco, they actually turned out quite nicely! And the canned pumpkin someone graciously carried in made for some wonderful pies!!
No snow here yet. Just cold and foggy. If we get any snow, it will start tomorrow evening off and on through the weekend. It’s 4:00 and already dark. Kind of depressing.
This evening we will walk to centre city and watch the festivities as they “turn on” the Christmas lights and have a fireworks display. Brrrr.
We miss you all, and hope you have a wonderful time together in Chattanooga.

I’m so glad you guys had a good Thanksgiving dinner! Do the Huselands and Kunars celebrate
Thanksgiving, too?
Thanks for the Thanksgiving picture.Glad you were able to come up with the rolls.
I think people will be arriving here this evening sometime. We’re going to have a pot of chile on the stove so people can eat whenever they get here.
Maybe we can have a voice chat (or video chat if it works) tomorrow. 💡

Yes, the Huseland and the Kunars celebrate Thanksgiving. The Kunar’s are in the States (New Jersey) with family. The Huselands are celebrating tomorrow (for some reason).
The fireworks were fun tonight. A VERY modern celebration – nothing nostalgic or even along the lines of Rudolph. Very interesting. My hands are still frozen from the walk….
Alan:
Isn’t snow in London fairly rare? I understand it can and does but not too often.
Woody
Woody,
It snows here probably as often as it does on Lookout Mountain. Not rare – but not often. The weird thing is – some places got over a foot – and some nothing. It’s sort of like Cleveland’s lake effect snow…except here it’s ocean effect. So places in the lee of the ocean under a cold north breeze can get dumped on, while interior sections see nothing.
