Phyllis and I leave early tomorrow morning to Tulsa. One of our supporting churches asked us to come out and speak on discipleship and contextualization. They are paying for our airfare. I will be speaking four times during the weekend. We plan to be back home late on Monday.

We had a very good weekend. On Friday we had lunch with the Missions Chairman. That night I spoke about Leveraging your Personality for Discipleship. On Saturday morning I met with the assistant pastor. Phyllis and I went out for lunch at Famous Daves and walked around and shopped. We were invited out for supper by a couple that wanted to talk to us about personality as it relates to the “personality” of the church. Sunday morning I spoke in Sunday School on contextualization. Then I preached during the worship service. Then we had lunch with a group from the church called Restore North Tulsa. They are living in a low income area and trying to bring the gospel to bear in a holistic way. Then we went back to the hotel and I slept for 1.5 hours. Phyllis rested. At the evening service we (along with two other missionaries) presented our ministry. I used one of the DVD’s I had created. Then we went out to supper with two fo the couples from the church. We are currently at the Tulsa airport. Our flight has been delayed for two hours. Thanks for your prayers.
Our flight was canceled and now we aren’t leaving Tulsa until around 4:30. Supposed to be at Chattanooga airport around 10 tonight. 🙁
Our second flight also had trouble, so we are having to spend the night here in Tulsa. We leave tomorrow at 6:00 AM and arrive in Chattanooga around 11 AM.
Sorry about your plane troubles. Seems like these kinds of troubles happen more and more. This is why I hate traveling.
