Working at TGIF has given this verse a deeper meaning to me.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Heb. 12.1-3
On several occasions one of the servers (who I’m sure is a Christian) has said to me “Micah, smile, it’s not that bad.” Apparently I was so focused on trying to get my job done, that I was frowing, or something. Anyway, this reminded me how important it is to behave like Christ: because there are so many people watching.
Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed?
