Last weekend I went to Chicago with a group of friends from WashU. The students are part of an Intervarsity ministry to international students. I like Chicago. It is a pretty city. We were only there Saturday and Sunday, so we didn’t get to see a lot, but we still got to see many interesting sights. Below are some of the pictures I took. I will post more later.
The first place we went to was a place called Chinatown. Apparently there are several communes, including an India town, Latino town, Polish town, and others. I was told that there are more Poles in Chicago then in the capital of Poland (Warsaw?).
Behind us is the Chicago Tribune building. We were walking downtown somewhere.
We went to the 96th floor of the Hancock building. There are lots of nice views from there. My ears popped as we ascended in the elevator.
This is a view of the city jutting out into Lake Michigan.
This is a guy from Ethiopia. His name is Alemayehu.
A guy from Nigeria. His name is Todun.
Vernal. He is from Jamaica
Alicia on the left and Patricio in the foreground. They are a couple from Chile. The guy on the right is a friend of Vernal’s, who was visiting form Jamaica.
Me with the Sears Tower growing out of my head.
From left to right is Todun, Amanda, and Janet Atkins. Amanda is from India, and Janet is one of the leaders of International friends. Behind them is a waterfall.
More to come later!

Great pics… it looks fun! I think I recognize a few of the buildings from when I went on a missions trip there in the summer of ’06.
Looks like a lot of fun, Seth! The pictures turned out nicely.
Great pictures, Seth! I too recognize many locations from when we lived up that way.
Looks like a very good trip.
I like the pictures. Brings back memories. Whenever I have meetings near the top of BofA tower, my ears always pop somewhere between the 41st and 46th floors.
Seth, that’s a great picture of you in front of the self park sign. Your stance looks like Superman!
