How to resize pictures in preparation for upload

by Gary on July 17, 2007

Many digital pictures are too large to upload to a post. They will take a long time to upload, and in the end will be too large to see. If you don’t have your own software for resizing pictures–or if you just want to use a different method–here are some instructions for doing it online. As I say in the movie, an image between 300 and 700 pixels wide is about right for our blog. If you set the width, the height should adjust automatically.

Those who have Macs can use iPhoto. Those who use Windows can download free software called Picasa. And anyone can use this online method.
