sunflower picture

by Jannylynn on January 15, 2006

I went to ofoto and tried to order the sunflower picture in a 20×30 but it said the resolution was not good enough to print and it was not recommended. I’m assuming that this is the case because I did not upload it straight from the camera, but from my computer. What do you think? I did not order it because I wanted to make sure it would be okay and that I have the right thing.

Any advice?

Aunt Janice, I will email you you the picture again, and hopefully it will be large enough. If not, I’ll see if I can’t make the resolution greater and send that to you.

Thanks Micah. I have just the place for this picture when I get it blown up and matted and framed — over my piano. I can’t wait! I guess I’ll have to get one of those matting tools. I think I could really put it to use! I would like to be able to mat my calligraphy as well. I wish I had more time to spend on creative endeavors such as the calligraphy. It gives me a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment. But I’d have to figure out how to turn it into a money maker. But then it wouldn’t be fun anymore. What’s a person to do?

I’ve wondered and pondered over that same dilemma, Aunt Janice. I’ve realized that I also like to be very creative (music, pictures, websites, etc.) but find little satisfaction in doing it for money – maybe it takes the “inspiration” out of creative process.

In my wondering, I thought:

Well, God gave me gifts to be creative in various areas; and, Ephesians indicates that everything that I am and have should be used (at the very least) for the mutual edification of God’s church…

So, I figured there must be a way for me to use my creativity to offer as gifts for the pleasue and enjoyment of my Christian family. I just reacently thought this and became very excited about trying to use my creativity this way – though the issue of money (and time) remains.
