I won? I won!

Wednesday night the management at TGIFriday’s hosted a bowling night for their employees. I decided to go and I had fun. A lot more people showed up than I first expected to – there were probably five lanes going at one time with 5 people at each lane, and then there were a host of other employees that just watched and chatted with each other.

After the first game I played, the General Manager announced that there would be a competition for the second game: the person with the most points would receive a prize…and I won!!! I didn’t think I could win because there appeared to be many good bowlers, but, somehow, I got the highest score (138. Second place got 133 and third was 131).

But, I really won thanks to my grandfather (on my mom’s side), since he taught my mom who taught me how to bowl: you make sure your arm swings strait, release the ball, and bring your thumb up so that it’s pointing in the direction you want the ball to go in. The prize was just a plaque that says “first place,” or something like that, but as I received the prize, I dedicated it to my grandfather (my mom’s dad). 🙂 🙂 🙂

Congratulations on the win. Glad that you had a good time socializing with co-workers.

Wow! I wish I could bowl as well as you… My scores are embarrassing.
