Late night reading

by andreamegan on January 25, 2007

Last night I got sick. I had chills and was very tired. (I’m feeling much better today). However, I slept too much in the evening, and couldn’t sleep for several hours later that night. I woke up at 1am and thought for sure it was almost time to get up. When I saw it was only 1am I groaned. I couldn’t sleep, so I read in a magazine, “The Writer” (I got a subscription for it last Christmas). It has very helpful advice as to how to write well. One thing I kept reading in the magazine was that it is so much better to show how a character is (through dialogue, actions, reactions to others), then merely to come right out and say what the character is like.

Let James know more about that magazine, please. He might want to subscribe to this.

The magazine sounds interesting. I’m glad you’re feeling better.

I think my parents found this magazine at Books-a-Million. I really like it. You can visit their website at http://www.writermag.com.
