Email Notifications

This morning I was able to resolve one of the issues that has been keeping some people from receiving email notifications of new posts. I discovered that people using waldecker.net were not getting them. It turned out to be an obscure setting that I had to change on the server. Starting with the previous post, you should be receiving notifications now. If not, or if you are not receiving them in the form you wish, there could be other reasons.

Make sure your subscription settings are they way you want. Click on the About… page found in the left column. Then click on the Manage Subscriptions page. Then click on the Profile link that appears. This will take you to your subscriptions page. You can choose which categories you want to receive posts about (probably all). You can also choose whether you receive the notification as plain text or as html. You can also choose whether you receive the whole post or just an excerpt from it. (However, if you choose to receive the notification as html, you can only receive the whole post.)
