A semester in Athens

by Audrey on December 26, 2014

I successfully finished my first semester at UGA! I really enjoyed my classes, and I have been learning a lot! It was definitely difficult and full of challenges, but it was good. God has been teaching me a lot of what it means to serve Him and what it means to learn for His glory.

These are the kids that live upstairs above my basement apartment, and whom I babysit regularly. They are so much fun!

I have made some good friends and found a really good church to be a part of. Below are some pictures of this semester:

UGA Colleagues

These are my fellow graduate students in the German Department. Three of them are from Germany, one from Switzerland and I think everyone else is from Georgia. We get along pretty well, which I am grateful for.

This was studying on my bed for a mid-term––papers everywhere!

This is the street that I live on, and where I take walks for breaks and exercise. It is a really pretty neighborhood.

This is walking toward campus from my parking place. A pretty walk, with lovely landscaping and a view of the wide open sky.

This is a snapshot toward my parking place. I made this walk at Monday through Friday. It is a nice walk.

I ate lunch here one day. And there were chipmunk-squirrel wars going on. It was quite interesting.
