Hello everyone. Wanted to provide you with a quick update on things going on with me. First, I did not get the job that I had applied for. A little disappointed, but not surprised. I was given some good feedback and apparently the interview was pretty good. I am still an unknown to the VP of the area though as I have only worked for him for 10 months now. While I did not get the promotion, I did succesfully pass an exam that counts towards a professional designation, just one more to go. This would not mean anything really, but would show my “commitment to professional development”. I have been given some additional projects at work that are keeping me busy and should provide the opportunity to show my leadership capabilities to the leadership group. It will be interesting to see how they go.

Sorry to hear you didn’t get the job. I do think you are doing the right thing by showing them you mean business about moving up and taking on more responsibility.
Right now, I’d like a little less resposnibility.
