These are the first snow pics (no people yet – everybody still in bed).  The snow has not quite stopped yet, but at least I got the driveway cleared.  With all the wind, the snow is hard to measure – but probably around 10″.

Cool! We got about 8″. We made two sled runs––they were fast and fun!

Thanks for the pics. Hagerstown and Wilmington have 14 inches and counting.
Micah and Stephanie are still without power. There are lots of downed power lines and trees in their neighborhood so it looks like it will take a while before power will be restored. The neighbors tree fell in their yard but missed the house. However it broke the patio fence. They said they watched a light show last night as the electric transformers were blowing up.

Looks like you all had a blast! Wish we could all enjoy the snow together!

It snowed here all day until around 4. Beautiful big flakes (unlike all the wind last night). We probably picked up another 2″ today.

The folks here don’t know way to do with three inches. But under that there was several inches of ice. Dad

It was nearly 60 today and sunny in Nashville. We never had one flake stick to the ground. So, Phyllis, did Augusta get snow, ice, or both? How are they keeping warm?

Thanks for sharing Alan

Augusta only got ice. Micah and Stephanie heated their house to higher than normal at the beginning of the storm and so were able to conserve some heat to the house that way. Their hot water is gas powered so they were able to get hot showers. They also went to bed early and stayed in bed until late morning. They did get power yesterday at around 4 PM. They worked outside before that as it was warmed outside than inside. Thankfully they did not lose any food as they were able to purchase ice. They don’t have internet as the cable to the house did snap. We were able to keep in touch by phone as they kept it charged through the car.
