We finally got moved into our new house. Whew! I don’t think I’ve ever worked so hard and long in my life! I started by doing some demolition, painting and carpet removal. And then loads and loads of moving. This was race weekend in Bristol, which means 1) crowds were incredible and we had to find creative ways to get around them and, 2) we had no help moving, as our friends were busy helping/working at the race. And it’s still not all done. We have a load of general stuff left at the house, and several days of cleaning to be done. But we have until Friday to get it all done. Our new address is 212 Magnolia Drive, Bristol, VA 24201. We are just off exit 3 and expect to see some visitors from time to time. Here are some before and after pictures…

Wow! That IS a lot of work. Did you put new wallboard up, or was there wallboard under the paneling?

Wow! Looks like lots of work! But you did a great job! What did you do to the fireplace? The bricks look a different color in the after shot.
Looks really nice. Hope to come by and visit soon.
I thank the Lord for this provision.
It looks great!
we took down the paneling on the internal walls – which had plaster over sheet rock. The exterior walls had styrofoam insulation behind them, so we just painted the paneling there. The fireplace was sponge painted two of the contrasting colors of the living room. We also painted the paneling in the two main floor bedrooms.
Woody – we were hoping to host you guys some time for a rhythm and roots festival weekend – bluegrass music throughout downtown. Check out the web site http://www.bristolrhythm.com/ to see what its all about.
Wow! That looks really nice!
I really like how you changed it!
Looks wonderful. Happy for you
I love the changes! I like your house, it is so sturdy and quaint. I can’t wait to visit you guys again! When I looked at the website it said the weekend pass was for Jan 1 and August 31. What does that mean?
You have worked hard, Your work is obviously making a difference. You are in our prayers. Dad & Judy
