Knoxville, that’s where I be (and other news)!

by Audrey on July 10, 2012

Please pardon my longitude in writing (I know that’s not the right use of the word, but it makes it funny, right?). Life has been exciting––I guess that’s nothing new, but particularly interesting things have been happening. How did I get to Knoxville, TN? Well, I’ll tell you and thus this post. In order to get my Montessori diploma, I need to take 200 hours of class work (which takes place in Knoxville) and those happen over two summers. This summer, I take 150 hours over three weeks. I’m staying with Ethan and Betsy Farquhar and their three kids. It’s been fun thus far!

I began my three weeks July 7th. I have classes Monday-Friday, 8-5pm, plus we have to do 2 hours of extra practice. They open at 7am, so I’m planning on going every day at 7am, and take my 1 hour lunch break to practice, so I’ll be there from 7-5 every weekday, get back to the Farquhars around 5:30pm. Then we make dinner, eat, play with kids, relax in evening.

In other news, I’m now the German and Spanish teacher at the Montessori school! Plus, I’m teaching 2 hours extra of German on Mondays, which I think will be fun. It’ll be a busy, challenging and fun year!

I’m so glad you won’t have to be staying late at the school, and that you get to hang out with the Farquhars in the evenings!
