Today I had quite a wonderful day at work at Rock Creek Fellowship! 😀
It was nice because…
…The weather was beautiful; you could smell, feel, taste, see (and hear?) that Fall is coming – the sky was crisp, clean blue; the wind was soft and cool – you get the picture 🙂
…I was not as tired as I have been the past week (i have a hard time going to bed early enough not to be tired in the morning) so I had plenty of energy to keep up with the myriad of things to do.
…there was a lot to do – lots of phone calls, emails, bulletin-printing, organizing, and problem solving.
…I had a leisurely lunch. After eating, I sat for about half and hour and wrote in my journal.
All in all, it was a productive, satisfying day even though I had to work later than usual. I’m thankful to Jesus that life can be enjoyed and work savored and valuable.

Thanks for this refreshing reminder that the Lord’s redemption touches what we usually call the small things of life.

Yes, thank you. I think I don’t appreciate the small things enough. The first signs of fall haven’t quite reached St. Louis yet, although it is getting colder, but not “crisp.”
