James’ Graduation

by James on March 6, 2012

Though I officially graduated in December, I still plan to attend my class’s graduation ceremony in May.  Anyone is welcome to attend, though I certainly wouldn’t be hurt if no one wants to come (I’m not big on such ceremonies myself).  The graduation ceremony is on Monday, May 21 at 9:00 AM (a rather inconvenient time, I’m aware).  Also, tickets are free, but I’m only allowed 8 tickets, and since my parents and sisters are attending, I’ll only have 3 extra tickets.

I should also note here that I recently received word that I’ve been awarded a scholarship to study for my M.A. at the University of Georgia.  I haven’t committed yet, but this seems like a great opportunity.  I would appreciate your prayers as I wait to hear from other programs before making my decision.

P.S. Seth, have you looked any more into UGA?

Ooo! I’d love to come! I shall see as the date gets closer if it is a possibility for mwa.

UGA is only 4 hours from us… 😀

James, we won’t be able to attend your graduation, but we’re very happy for you and I hope that it is a very good experience (even though you don’t like ceremonies very much 🙂 )

James, my graduation is the 18th of May, so I am not sure if I will be able to make it to the East coast in time. I did look again at postdoc positions at UGA, but it seems to me that I am not qualified to do the the research they do there.
