Please pray for Gary’s safe return home…

by sejwa on January 23, 2012

My dad is supposed to return to the U.S. from Costa Rica today, but my mom said that she just got a text from my dad saying that the plane started veering off to one side while it was on the runway. She said that they were able to stop the plane and no one was hurt. However, now it is unclear when my dad will be leaving. She asked me to post something on the blog to ask for prayer for my dad, that he would arrive home safely.

After the plane taxied back to the gate they checked out the plane and decided it was safe to leave. Some people decided to get off while others decided to continue but eventually they cancelled the flight and someone from Atlanta (it is a Delta flight) is going there to fix the plane. So Gary is in a hotel and the flight is scheduled for 7 AM but I don’t know about his connection to Chattanooga.
He said he felt like his sermons were well received and he had many good conversations. He is very tired and not feeling up to par.
Thank you for your prayers and keep praying.

One of the engines went out as we were taking off, causing the place to swerve.

Ditto that “Thank God”. Gary, I’m sorry for all your difficulty. Phyllis said you were feeling sick too! I will definitely be praying for you.
