James Has Interview / Took GRE

by Jannylynn on October 22, 2011

James found out this week that he has an interview for the Marshall Scholarship.  This scholarship would allow him to do 2 years of graduate work either at Oxford or the University of Manchester.  The interview is in Atlanta on November 7.

Also, he completed his GRE yesterday!  This is a huge burden lifted from his long “to do list” this semester.  They gave him a “range” of how he did, and he did very well!  Congratulations!

James, that is awesome! Thanks for posting this, Aunt Janice! I’m pretty sure that James will end up in England for at least a few years 😀 I’ll be praying about Nov. 7 interview.

Thanks! Sorry I haven’t posted myself, lately; I’ve just been so busy! I’m halfway through this semester now, but I still have many graduate school applications to do as well as other papers to write. I have a long two months ahead of me, but I’m so close to the end! Hallelujah!

James, we are proud of you and praying that God will give you strength to finish well! We are also praying that you will do well in the interview in a few weeks.

Great news. I had the thought that if Seth decides to take a post doctoral position that you should both apply to the same schools. Wouldn’t that be wild! The school would never be the same.

They could room together. Where is Seth considering?

The only postdoctoral position I’ve considered so far is at Jyväskyalä university in Finland, but I am not very interested in the research. My adviser has a colleague there who is looking for a postdoc.

Cool, Finland! Finnish is a really pretty language… but it’s a bit of a ways away from Tennessee 🙂
