Prayer for Gary’s trip to Turkey

by phyllis on September 17, 2011

Gary leaves tomorrow for a 5 day trip to Izmir, Turkey with MTW. It is a meeting of about 130 leaders (US and foreign leaders). It is a long trip for a few days. Also, MTW didn’t invite the wives (!!!) and Gary thinks they should have:) He will get to tour Ephesus. Pray for safety in travel and in the country as well. Turkey just passed a law to return all the land and buildings that had been confiscated from Christians and Jews over the years. This is good news (it will allow them to be accepted into the EU) but some might not be happy about it.
Gary tore his calf muscle playing racquetball a few weeks back and will have to take a break from his physical therapy to go so pray he won’t have a set back or the long plane ride will not be detrimental.

Judy and I were at Izmir when MTW had a conference there. We also visited Ephesus as well as the sites of all seven churches in Revelation. Dad
