Bookkeeping

by andreamegan on March 20, 2011

I know I’ve been saying for a long time that I want to pursue bookkeeping. Well, I have finally taken the first step to enrolling in an online program. I’m so excited! I hope it works out. Audrey and I are also taking a beginner’s gardening course. It is taught by some Master Gardeners, who are really nice and fun. The first class was about composting, soil preparation, and turf grass (we weren’t as interested in the turf grass part). Last class was about landscaping and edible landscaping (I couldn’t go to that one). The next one is about trees and shrubs, and the last one is about vegetables. I’m looking forward most to the last class!

The gardening classes are about a 40 minute drive away, off of Bonny Oakes Drive, if that helps. It is at UTC’s Agriculture building. Andrea’s bookkeeping classes are going to be online. I hope we get green thumbs at the end of the gardening course 😉

I took a course at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga in accounting. It provided me with the basics of what records to keep for our antique business. I think you will like it very much.

Cool! I didn’t know you did that. I think I will like it, too.
