Selling a Mac laptop

by andreamegan on January 20, 2011

Hello all!

I wanted to let you all know that I am selling my 2004 iBook G4, with a 12″ monitor. It runs pretty well and looks good. I am selling it for $125. My parents are headed up north and they will have it with them. If you are interested, they can show it to you. If you are interested, please do not comment on this post. Please e-mail me: andrea@waldecker.net. Here are the details:

Model A1054
Memory (RAM): 256MB
Maximum RAM: 1.25 GB
Processor speed: 1.07 GHz (single core)
L2/L3 Cache: 512 k (on chip)
System BUS speed: 133 MHz
VRAM: 32 MB

It has a wireless airport card already installed
It has a bluetooth device installed in case you want a wireless keyboard or mouse
A DVD-ROM/CD-RW “Combo” drive
I am including Microsoft Office 2004
It does NOT have a camera.

Here are some problems with the computer:

A book once fell on my computer. Ever since then, there has been a key that comes loose sometimes (I think it is the letter ‘k’). Also, when you want to eject a CD or DVD, you kind of have to pull upwards on the opening in order for the disc to come out. The laptop gets warm. I’m not sure if that is a problem or not. The batter doesn’t hold its full charge anymore. I can’t remember how long it lasts without the power cord. If for any reason you are not satisfied with the computer, you may return the computer adn I will give you a full refund.

For additional information go to this link. It should tell you a lot more details about my computer.

They all get warm. Shouldn’t be a problem.

I forgot to mention that I wiped my hard drive clean and re-installed Mac OS X Panther. So, if you wanted to look around on the computer, just enter my registration information (already on there) and continue. If you do decide to purchase it, you can wipe the hard drive clean again and put in your own registration information (unless you know of another way to change the registration information). If you do purchase the computer, I think you may have to install the airport wireless software (included) and maybe another disc (also included). If you guys have any questions, e-mail me or call me at 423-503-9912.

We’d be interested in taking a look at it when your parents are in town. I’ve been wanting a laptop for a while now, since we just have one family computer.
