Folks, it has been some time and I actually do read some emails and posts from time to time but I will also confess I am quiet behind. I currently have about 300 emails in my in box. Katie has finished all her course work and is scheduled to graduate later this month on May 21st. Jennie is doing well and is scheduled to return to Austria on June 27. Between the girls we have all the weekend dates filled on our calendar until July. The biggest news to share with you all is that my Mom has a number of medical issues. About two weeks ago she was diagnosed with a stomach wall hernia. Added to the list are gallstones and an inflamed liver. She already has a heart condition. The lasted word is that the doctor’s are talking together to schedule date to do all the internal repair work at one time. Mom is at this time comfortable but it seems to me she is not taking her situation serious. We are hoping to see her early in June on our way to visit the Badlands and Black Hills region of South Dakota. Of all the places in the U.S. this is the one area Jennie is most desirous to visit! Yesterday we were visiting NY and were graciously spared along with a great multitude when a car bomb failed to go off. We were probably about one block away from the car bomb about the time all this came about and I can attest to wall to wall people on all the sidewalks and in one portion of a street that was closed to traffic. Another way we were protected is God enabled me to stay awake as I drove home later that night. I’m finding it more difficult to drive when I’m tired.

Our plans are to leave Pennsylvania on Friday June 11 stop at my Mom’s outside Cleveland Ohio for a few hours (to be determined) and then proceed to Rapid City, SD. We’re staying in a camping kabin at a KOA for a week before returning home. I originally hoped to have a longer stay but I cannot be gone for more from work. This is an accreditation survey year and they can come at any time.
