Happy Resurrection Day

by phyllis on April 4, 2010

We had breakfast at church and the fellowship hall was full. Great food and fellowship. Worshipful music at church, beautiful weather. The rest of the day we spent together talking to Seth a couple of times as he was leaving. The flight from Atlanta to Milan, Italy is 9.5 hours so he is being reminded of all of our trips back and forth to Chile. How was everyone’s celebration of the  this Lord’s Day?

I had a great morning of worship. Good catching up with old friends. Had good food and went to a movie. Very nice weather.

We had an excellent service this morning. Gospel message clear and direct to those from a world philosophy which tells us to find meaning and purpose for (your) life when it says the bases for all things is random chance! Christ’s resurrection demonstrates Christ is who he says he is, that the world is brought about by His design and that we are made for the purposes of knowing and enjoying Him!
We had a nice diner together (the four of us), rested a bit, and played some games at evening time.

We had an interesting day. Most people at church were really surprised to see us because two Sundays ago they announced that it was our last Sunday there and we were gone for Spring Break last week. 🙂 We went to pick up Emily’s pets from her friend who watched them while we were away last week. James is home for the weekend, but got a stomach virus at midnight last night. He was very weak today so we all just watched at 5 – 6 hour movie…Great Expectations. He was going to go back to school early this evening, but is sleeping at home again and we’ll see how he feels tomorrow.

Sorry, James! I’ll pray for a quick recovery.
It is nice and encouraging to hear how everyone celebrated Resurrection Day!
