Plans for Thanksgiving

by Jannylynn on November 11, 2009

Well, I’m excited to tell you that 27 people will be here for Thanksgiving!  It will be wonderful to fellowship with all of you. So that I can plan better, will you all tell me these things:

1. ETA / ETD

2. Confirm the # coming

3. # of air mattresses/ sleeping bags you can bring.

For food, I have a turkey, a couple of cans of cranberry sauce, stuff to make beef stew, pork tenderloin & rice, 5 dozen eggs, lots of cream, butter, and cream cheese, canned tuna and chicken for sandwiches.  I’ll have plenty of flour and sugar and brown sugar. I also have bacon, eggs, oatmeal, and various cereals, pancakes and syrup for breakfast. Oh, I also have hot dogs and stuff for smores that we can use by the fire if the fire wood is dry by then.

Sharon is going to make lots of pies and Phyllis is making vegetable casseroles for Thanksgiving dinner. We can all make rolls here.

I haven’t really thought past that.  Any ideas?

Janice

Wow! I think you have thought a lot. We are planning on being there on Wed probably around 3 or 4 PM. The girls are coming with us. Hopefully Seth has told you his flight plans. I think it is Tues evening. Micah still has to stay in NY for possible jury duty. We plan on leaving on Sun after lunch. We can bring a queen size and a double air mattress as well as sleeping bags for all of us. Do you want us to bring our big tent? It can fit up to 8.
We will bring some breakfast and lunch stuff and help with supper as well.
Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Hello! Okay Drew and I will probably get there Wednesday afternoon and we will leave Thursday evening. We don’t have air mattress’s or sleeping bags! We have lots of blankets if that will be of help. Just let me know what you want me to bring food wise, other than that I will definitely be willing to cook when we get there! See everyone soon!

no david..it is a IKEA mattress…only 6 ” deep and foldable…actually could be considered a mattress topper but it is comfortable enough to sleep on alone. janie

I wish I could join you all! But, alas, I need to be present in NY to be on call for jury duty. Perhaps we can video chat at some point while everyone is there?
