Football

by Alan on August 16, 2009

The boys had their first game of the season Friday night.  They won 41-0.  I have uploaded the game on my .mac site, and you can access it at: http://public.me.com/alan.waldecker, and look for the football file to download.  Also, there is some additional media coverage of the game at: http://www.timesnews.net/localsports.php AND  http://kingsport.tv/.  Their next game is this Thursday night against one of the better area Class A public schools – a huge step up for them!  Caleb is #26, Josh #55, and Slick #4.

I talked to Janie yesterday. Sounds like a romp after your team settled down with the penalties. Congrats to you guys!

Not sure what you are doing, but they all work for me. The first site will take you to a series of files, where you will need to click on the football tab, and then the game – at which time it will begin downloading to your computer. The other two are news stories – one in print and one in video. Since it’s been a few days, you’ll have to scroll down to find the Tri-Cities stories.

They lost the previous week as well – to a larger public school – I think it was 47-20 or something like that. Our coach thinks our boys were good enough to beat them, but… This week they play the Asheville Saints – a homeschool team that always produces one of the best 8-man teams around.
