The Culprit has been found!

by Audrey on March 31, 2009

I have acid reflux and this is what has been causing my stomach problems. I am SO happy to know definitely what the cause is. The nurse practitioner gave me some advice to help me feel better even as I am on Nexium. The Nexium will take about 3 months to heal me. Here is the advice:

  1. Raise my bed to a slant
  2. Avoid carbonation, caffeine, chocolate, seeds, greasy/spicy foods
  3. Don’t eat or drink 3 hours before I go to bed
  4. drink either before or after meals but not during (because then I might swallow air)

I feel like a huge burden has been lifted! I am so light, I can fly 😀 Thank you so much for your prayers–they have been answered!

I’m glad you found out what the problem was but… no chocolate????

I know, the chocolate thing is a bit hard. But, all in all, I am okay with it. This should not last forever. And I can have chocolate every once in a while in moderation early in the day.

I’m just glad I know what it is.
