Well here is a picture. The plan is to have the walls under the sloping roof start at 5 feet from the floor, travel up the slope about 7 feet (or approximately 4.5 feet from the wall) where the ceiling will be flat at 8 feet above the floor for 5 feet and down the other side of the roof with the same dimensions. The room will have two windows and one one side a half door to storage area (or secrete compartment if you wish). Hopefully I’ll find the time to finish framing by this weekend, then wiring, insulation, and then drywall.

I think I would really enjoy a project like this. It looks like an adventure!
Wow, Dad. That’s major. Real exciting!
Looks real nice
Awesome! I wish I knew how to do stuff like this.
When does insulation go in?
The insulation is one project Eric can really go to town on. We’ve worked on this much together, especially the part of unloading and carring stuff up 2 and 3 flights of stairs. I say two because the drywall is still on the second floor. I’m thinking insulation will be done by the end of next week so we could use Friday and Saturday to install the drywall. Need to be mostly done by Nov. 25.
Wow, how exciting! Someday I hope to acquire the skills necessary to complete a project like this.
Are you enjoying the process? Looks and sounds good!
Sounds like an exciting, challenging, and fun project!
Cool! I cannot wait to see the progress over Thanksgiving!
We are making progress on the project although it would be nice to take a day off from work. I knew I had a busy schedule but when I have to postpone work on the attic room to go off somewhere it puts things in a different light. What if I were ever sick? We have insulation about 50% done, I’m hoping to get the rest up tonight and Friday night. Then AFTER we work in the park Saturday morning Eric & I will start on the drywall. Whew! Well, I need to get back to work! (One trick I try to use is not to open emails. Today was the first time since Saturday night.)
sounds good
