What I’ve been up to

by Audrey on August 1, 2008

I have been continuing to work part time at the Tuck Shoppe (Covenant College bookstore), and the last kids’ camp arrives tomorrow, August 2. We are starting to put textbooks in order for the coming school year, and this is one of my favorite jobs in the Tuck Shoppe: handling the books. On average I work three days per week in the afternoons.

Also, I have been doing a lot of studying for my Sociology class. It has been very interesting thus far. It mostly consists of reading, and then I have to post two posts to a weekly discussion topic. So far the topics have been “Culture” “Social Equality” and “American Ideology.” Most of the students are much older than I and have a lot more experience to draw on, so it has been interesting to read what they have to say.

By the end of the day I feel quite fatigued. So, in the evenings I usually try and do something relaxing, like listen to music, look at email and blog, and sometimes (hopefully more often) I try and work on the story I am writing.

So, that is what I am up to!

I’m glad you’re enjoying your Sociology class.

Will you be able to finish your sociology class before Covenant’s classes begin? I’m sorry I won’t be there to help move you into the dorm!

I think my sociology class ends September 12, while Covenant’s classes start the 28th of August. The class work for sociology diminishes as it goes on, though, which I am very thankful about!
