As I reflect on family reunions and our upcoming wedding anniversary (which are related concepts for the Churchill’s), I am reminded of our family reunion in Wisconsin. Wow! 1986. This was where I first discovered that I really enjoy toddlers. Seth and Micah were both toddlers then and I have vivid memories of crawling on the floor with Seth as he masterfully (and quickly) demonstrated his “scissor crawling” skills. His laughter as he ran (crawled) from me is still vivid in my mind. I can still picture that huge smile on his face and his chuckles as he crawled in anticipation of me following him. Perhaps I will be able to experience that joy again with Grandchildren.

Thanks for sharing this, Uncle David. What is “scissor crawling” ?
Right hand, left leg. Left hand, right leg. And so on. As`opposed to immature scoot or pulling one’s lower body along all at once. In other words, normal crawling.
Hee, hee! I can just imagine Micah and Seth as toddlers!
I thoroughly enjoyed our quick trip to Johnson City for the wedding and a large reason for it was having five days to enjoy my granddaughters who were so great as traveling companions. I say amen to your sentiments David.
