It’s London, chaps, it’s London!

Hey, everybody!

Well, I’m in London, England right now–we arrived here early Tuesday morning–and I thought I’d right a quick note. Obviously, my cell phone doesn’t work here, so I’m actually online at the Apple store here in London, on Regent St. I’m still trying to figure out how I can call back home (sorry, mom and dad), but some of the chaperones have international phones, so I may be able to use those.

At any rate, I’m really enjoying myself here… we’ve already seen parliament, Big Ben, the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, and various other buildings, squares, and areas. I can’t post any pictures, seeing as I don’t have a cord with me, but I will be sure to post some when I get back. I just wanted to say hey, that I’m doing well here, and I really miss everybody! I’ll try to call soon.

Wow!! So little to see in so much time to do it in. Wait! That was Wonka. Really, this is a lot of sights for only having been there a couple of days. Thanks for letting us know you are alive and doing well. We understand that calling is challenging.

Hello again! I’m here at the Apple store again, so I thought I’d let you know what else we’ve done… Yesterday, we went to Chartwell, Winston Churchill’s home–one of the most beautiful, as well as peaceful, places I have ever seen. It’s a far cry from the hustle and bustle of downtown London. Today, we visited Churchill’s Cabinet War Rooms, an underground shelter built for British parliament during the air raids of 1940. I got to see where many big name people worked and slept, including good ol’ Winston himself–plus, one of his very own cigars, lying by his bedside. We then went to watch the changing of the royal horse guards, near Buckingham Palace; I took a video of it, so maybe I can post that later. I think were’ going to Cambridge tomorrow, but I’ll let you know about that later. Cheers!

What an awesome time! It must be especially special, since you’re related to W. Churchill!
