A Little Quiz

by Gary on March 2, 2006

This is fun and should be challenging. See how well you can do. There are names of 16 Books of the Bible in the paragraph below. See if you can find them.

I once made a remark about hidden things of the Bible. It was a lulu; kept people looking so hard for the facts, and for others it was a revelation. Some were in a jam, especially since the names of the Books are not capitalized. But the truth finally struck home to numbers of those present. To others it was a real hard job. I want it to be a most facinating few moment for you. Yes, there will be some really easy ones to spot. Others may require judges to help them. I will admit it usually takes a minister to find one of these, and there will be loud lamentations when it is found. A little old lady says she brews a cup of tea so she can concentrate better.See how well you can compete. Relax now, for there are really 16 Books of the Bible in this paragraph.

Here are a few that I see in the first two sentences:

Mark in ‘remark’
Luke in ‘lulu:kept
Kings in ‘looking so’
Acts in ‘facts’
Revelation in ‘revelation’

Ruth in ‘tRuth’

Job in “job”

Amos in “a most”

Esther in “Yes, there

I think that makes 13. So we need three more…

There’s one more according to the instructions. Who’s going to get it?

This is Nathan.

I found this one a while ago, but hadn’t checked the site for fear that some one else had. I did not realize that we were doing this collectively. The final book is Titus as found in the sentence, “I will admit is ususally takes…” Take the “T” from admit, add it, the as the “us” from usually.
