A taste of snow

by Audrey on January 21, 2008

We got about an inch of snow Wednesday night, which turned to ice Thursday morning. Here are some pictures:

I measured it at about two inches at my house, but it was all gone the next day.

We had two snows. The first stuck, but the second melted almost all away. I like your pictures. Did you take them, Audrey?

Your pictures are real good. We went to Roosevelt State Park on Friday and stayed until Monday morning. It snowed a good bit on Saturday, we got about 2 inches. The snow coming down was a sight that I haven’t seen for some time.It was still on the ground when we left on Monday at 10:45. We didn’t go our at all on Saturday, but walked a couple of miles on Sunday afternoon. WE had a very good time playing dominoes and skipbo. Dad & Judy

I like your pictures. Winter on display. One of the things I like about winter is snow and … cold. Yes, there is a strange side to me. Sometimes I just like the cold air to slap me in the face. (I do not like cold feet though!) Uncle Woody

I agree with you, Uncle Woody. And Poppop, I’m glad you had such a nice time at Roosevelt Sate Park
