I was wondering if anyone had heard of the author, G.A. Henty. He wrote historical fiction for boys, and I have heard they are excellent, but he has written so many I cannot quite decide which one to get! I have birthday money to buy two. Let me know if you know anything that I don’t know concerning these knowledgable books!

We have read some Henty novels. They are very good. One I remember is about Cortez in Mexico.
I’ve also heard they’re very good (I remember very little about his Right of Conquest about Cortez and the Inquisition). But I’ve seen a list of all his novels online: each is historical fiction, so if there’s an aspect of history you particularly like, I’m sure he’s written something about it (he’s written more than 100 books, I think). You should check it out.
