Breaking the Silence

by Nathan Brauer on March 2, 2007

It has been a long while since I last posted an update. So hopefully this will not be too long. Work continues to go well and new challenges arise daily. I like this as it keeps things fresh and I don’t get bored. These challenges mainly revolve around personel issues, recognizing and addressing potentially harmful trends, and numerous account headaches. Church also goes well. Hopefully Micah has found the solution to the problem that we were having with our projector (showing mainly greenish pictures) so our Sunday school program can proceed. The big news I guess is that I have signed up to participate is a short term missions trip this summer. Two people from Rock Creek are going in addition to some folks from Silverdale Baptist Church. Our destination? A town in the Andes mountains in Peru! The trip is in June, and we haven’t had any team meetings yet, so details as to what we will do, are still sketchy. This should be a lot of fun. I would appreciate your prayers as we begin to get to know each other, become a team, and prepare for the work we will be doing. I also will be having to raise support. First time for me having to do this is almost nine years. As I learn more, I will keep you posted.

What’s the name of the town? Is there a mission agency involved in the place you will be going? What will you be doing?
