TGIF

I’m not sure that I’m enjoying working at TGIF any more. I usually find myself wishing I didn’t work there (maybe because it’s dark, maybe because I interact with A LOT of people little more than superfisially–though I have been getting to know my co-workers better), but I usually feel fine and do well once I get to TGIF.

The day after arriving from our trip up North, I had to do a double shift (it was a saturday) AND I had to help train two people, at “the same time.” Needless to say, being mentally unprepared, it was a bad day.

Things are going better, though. The Lord has been giving me good attitudes at work and I have (perhaps) even enjoyed it. One of the new employees was “validated” on Sunday, and I spent the last five hours training another new employee that I will likely validate tomorrow.

It’s a good thing that we have two new employees, too, since two other Host/Hostesses recently quit and we are going to have a VERY busy weekend here in Chattanooga (as far as retaurants go): 25,000 some people in town for some kind of conference. As a result, I’m working a double shift on Friday AND on Saturday, and am even scheduled to work Sunday.

I’m hoping that I will be able to find someone to cover my Sunday shift so that we can go visit Poppop and Mommom (and see their new home).
