Yesterday I upgraded this website to the lastest version of WordPress. I’m not sure of all the differences. As you come across differences–whether they are nice features or problems–I’d appreciate it if you would add a comment to this post so we can all be aware of what the differences are. Here is what I’ve noticed so far:
- The category section comes at the top of the “Write new post” page.
- The “default” category is no longer selected by default. No category is selected by default.
- When you write a new post you can choose between the “visual” editor and the “code” editor. Unless you are familiar with the html language, you would probably choose the visual editor, which is probably what you have been using all this time anyway. If you don’t see this choice, go to your Profile and choose “Use visual editor.”
- The Links section in the Admin Area is now called Blogroll
- There is a new Comments menu in the Admin Area. Comments used to be under the Manage menu.

When I put the balloon picture up, the process was a little different.
