Home from vacation

We arrived home late last night–actually early Saturday morning at 12:30 AM.

We had left home on December 29th at 10:45 AM. We arrived in Wilmington at 10:47 PM the same day. We talked to Bobby and Sara for a while before we all went to bed. The next day we talked to Bobby and Sara in the morning. The Strouds arrived around 11:30. That morning some of us went to a shooting range. We went back home in time to see Hannah and Brant before Brant had to go do a paint job.

That evening around 5:30 we all had supper at Bobby and Sara’s house–subs. Saturday morning we talked to people. Then we got more subs and had lunch at Dad and Mom Hagerty’s house. Then we went to the Newark EP gym and played ultimate frisbee and did some line dancing. That evening we had games and such. On Sunday we went to church with Bobby and Sara (Cornerstone PCA).

After lunch we stopped by to visit the Strumbecks on our way to Reamstown to see Woody and Sharon. We spent the night with them, and the next morning left for New York.

We were going to stop by Don and Marge at their cabin but were advised by Don not to attempt it due to possible bad weather. We arrived at Kirk and Linda’s house around 3:40 PM on Monday (Diamond Point, NY near Trout Lake. There we enjoyed hiking, walking on frozen lakes and ponds, talking, eating, watching a movie, sight-seeing and sledding. We left their house on Thursday at 8:15 AM.

We arrived at Todd and BJ’s house (Hagerstown, MD) at 4:00 PM. Actually, before we went to their house we went to watch them skiing. They had been there most of the afternoon and were just finishing up when we arrived. That evening after supper we played games. The next day, Friday, we left for home around 1:57 PM. We arrived home about 12:30 Saturday morning.

We had a great time.
