Camping

Micah and I went camping last weekend. We went to a state park near Augusta. The main things we did were chop/collect fire wood, cook, eat and repeat. On Saturday afternoon, we also spent a few hours canoeing on the lake. It was all great fun! Attached are a few pictures.

There wasn’t enough fire wood near our campsite, so a couple of times we traveled along the road in search of good caches of wood. Then we would load it up in the back of my pick up. Sometimes we had to chop first.

There were a number of islands in the lake. One of them was this small sandbar.

A google map showing the approximate path taken in our canoe trip. We began our trip on the land mass at the bottom of the picture (in the middle). We ate lunch on the island in the upper left corner.
